The Meatbag Philosophy

The Meatbag Philosophy

I’m not religious, but I am deeply spiritual. I’ve always believed there’s more to us than just flesh and bone.

To me, we’re beings of energy—souls—each inhabiting a physical form. When we die, we don’t just vanish into nothingness. That idea feels illogical, like a story with no ending.

This belief shapes how I see life, diet, and exercise.

Think about it: we’re beautiful souls driving an incredible machine—our body. Sure, it’s a biomechanical “meatbag” if you want to be cheeky about it, but it’s also the vessel that lets us experience the wonders of this world. Life, in its highs and lows, is all about living through this physical form. And how long we get to do that? It depends on how well we care for this miraculous host.

Now, there are two extremes I see:

1. The Obsessive Preservers– Those who treat their body like a museum piece, so focused on perfection that they forget to enjoy life. It’s like owning a rare toy but keeping it in the box forever so it doesn’t get scratched. Admirable? Maybe. But pointless, because life is meant to be lived.

2. The Oblivious Neglecters– Those who forget the connection between their body and their time on Earth. It’s like jumping into a beautiful convertible on a summer’s day and filling the tank with vegetable oil—you’re not going anywhere fast.

No judgment here. But here’s my take:

Life is about balance. Treat your body like the high-performance machine it is—give it the best fuel you can. But don’t be afraid to live. Take the convertible out on winding roads, feel the rush of the curves, and let your heart race at 70mph.

Because that’s what we’re here for—to experience. To love deeply, feel intensely, see the world, go places, and embrace every moment. We’re not here to leave the party
